♣ Spirals

-The Locket-

Usually, when I start a new illustration, I don´t know how it will end. But when I read that the next Enchanted Visions theme was going to be "The Locket" this image came to my mind. A oak dryad with a acorn locket, from where life magically begins in spiral...

-After the rain-
Watercolor, acrylics and colored pencils.

I always transfer my drawings from my sketchbook to the watercolor paper. But with this one was after something different, I sketch this little illustration directly on acrylic paper. I started with the faerie girl´s face, then added some mossy trees on the background and finally three snails, with spiral shaped shells... :)

Normalmente, cuando empiezo una nueva ilustración, no sé cómo va a terminar. Pero cuando leí que el siguiente tema de Enchanted Visions iba a ser "The Locket" esta imagen vino a mi mente. Una dríade del roble con una bellota a modo de medalla, de dónde la vida empieza mágicamente en espiral...

Siempre transfiero mis dibujos de mi cuaderno de bocetos al papel de acuarela. Pero con "After the rain" iba tras algo diferente, dibujé esta pequeña ilustracion directamente sobre papel para acrílicos. Empezé con la cara del hada, después añadí algunos arboles musgosos en el fondo y finalmente tres caracoles, con sus conchas en forma de espiral... :)
